Watching my own children grow, and now watching my grandson grow, has shown me just how quickly one season becomes the next. The anticipation of pregnancy becomes a newborn resting in your arms, and before you know it, those tiny fingers, sleepy expressions, and first tender moments have already begun to change.
When I look back at photographs of my children, I do not remember how tired I was or everything I worried about. I remember how perfectly they fit in my arms and how deeply they were loved.
If I am honest, I wish I had more photographs of myself during those seasons, not because I looked perfect, but because I was part of the story too. Those memories are priceless now, and they are a big part of why I was drawn to maternity and newborn photography.

Pregnancy is not always filled with glowing moments, and the newborn days can pass in a beautiful blur of feeding, soothing, sleepy cuddles, and learning one another. Through it all, there is a love unlike anything you have ever known, and that is what I want to hand back to you, preserved.
The name Inspijoy came from that same place. I believe there is inspiration in every story I capture through my lens, and I want those photographs to bring you joy for years to come. At the heart of it is my faith and my belief that every woman and every baby is beautifully created by God. Even the hard days, the anticipation, the tenderness, and the sleepless nights are part of a story worth remembering long after the season has passed.

Every time I photograph a newborn, I find myself wondering who this tiny person will grow up to be. What will they love? What will they dream about? And somewhere along the way, I usually say a quiet prayer that they'll grow to embrace exactly who God created them to be.
I CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER
I love being goofy, laughing until my stomach hurts, and having fun with the people I love. That tends to spill into my sessions too, because we all know being in front of a camera can feel awkward. A little laughter makes it easier to forget about the lens, and somewhere along the way, clients have a way of becoming friends who feel a lot like family.
SERIOUSLY... IT'S NOT THAT SERIOUS
There is something special about watching a mother look at herself differently through my camera. She may see a body that has changed, but I see the woman growing an entire human. When she finally sees some of the beauty everyone else sees in her, that gets me every time.
THE MOMENT SHE SEES IT
Yes, I have full conversations with newborns. I ask which side they prefer, apologize when they clearly disagree with my posing ideas, and sing to them when they need soothing. I love to sing, so if tiny humans are my audience for now, I'm perfectly happy with that. ☺
